Quilt Sewn Blue

Falicia_1

Yesterday, between three long walks and a billion trips outside with Sophie, I worked on Falicia's wedding quilt. The top is all done except for the borders. And I can't decide whether I'm going to do a pieced or plain border. I have some Bible verses printed on fabric that are just the right size for the corner squares.

Thanks to sweet Molly, I think I know what's wrong with my dryer now. Maybe we won't have to buy a new one after all. Molly asked if I had checked the vent. Duh! No, I hadn't. But I did yesterday. No air was coming through. So I'm pretty sure that's what's wrong. When Vann gets home from Texas tomorrow (HURRAY!), I'll get him to help me move the dryer so we can clean out the vent. Thanks, Molly. You probably saved us some bucks.

I have to go grocery shopping today, something I like about as much as I like dusting. Got to get ready for Sophie's PopPop's return tomorrow. She's going to be ecstatically happy, although she has nothing to complain about in his absence. Except for the day when we got 2 1/2 inches of rain, the whole neighborhood has been catering to her. Paul has taken her riding on the 4-wheeler every day except the rainy one. Paul, Gene, and Bob check on her and make sure she has plenty of treats and attention. That dog should be called The Queen of Castle Oaks. Or Spoiled Rotten. I guess they both fit.

The pattern, as I've said before, is the original Turning Twenty by Tricia Cribbs.

Beautiful! Just beautiful!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

What a totally rotten dog you have there, bet Vann misses her too though. We took Puppy-girl(our 13.5yo Cairn/Dachshund mix) to the park yesterday where she tried to pick fights with a Chocolate Lab, a French Bulldog and a Shih-tzu. Sigh, she's rotten too but not in a good way.

Hope I'm right about your dryer, definitely sounds like a clog.

Molly
