DID YOU? If not, what are you waiting for?
It's hard for me to not tell you who I voted for and to admonish you to vote for the same person. But I won't. I will say that I prayed about it first. That's how important I think this election is. So go! Go vote your heart. Do it now. Your country needs you.
Now, that's my sermon for today. Let's get on with more fun stuff. Yesterday was the monthly meeting of The Piecemakers Quilting Bee. We met at Martha's house, which is just down the road a few miles from where I live. Mary came by and rode with me. We had a full house, with only Sally and Rita not showing up. And everyone, it seemed, had some wonderful Show-n-Tell. Let me share some of it with you.
Here's Barbara and Mary showing off Mary's Stack-n-Whack. Isn't it gorgeous. I just love the mum fabric she chose to make her blocks.
Here's a closeup. (Click to enlarge.)
Here's Donna showing off a couple of her Slash-a-Stash baby quilts that she made from directions she received at a workshop taught my ME a couple of years ago. I thought she chose wonderful fabrics for these quilts.
I hope everyone is planning a nice fun Fat Tuesday (after you go and vote). Vann and I celebrated with breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We both had one of those Uncle Herschel's specials: eggs, grits, country ham, fried apples, biscuits, etc. Fat enough, I say.
It's very cloudy and muggy here today. We're supposed to get storms later tonight. I hope that if you're in the path of storms, you stay safe and dry.

Those quilts are so beautiful, I liked the fabrics too. In Argentina the vote is mandatory, so imagine every time we have elections... we have to go the embassy wherever we are and vote.;-(

Love the quilt pictures, Susan! Oh, we vote NEXT Tuesday here in Virginia; we weren't super enough to qualify to vote today. :) That's what they told us tonight at poll-official training. And do you know what? The Registrar's office was overrun with phone calls all day long from folks wondering why their precincts were open for them to vote today! LOL!

Love the quilts! Some very talented ladies in your group. By the way, your french toast sounds great. I am going to try to remember to try it this coming weekend.

Thanks so much for sharing the photos of the quilts! They are so beautiful! One day I hope to try a quilt. Right now I am crocheting an afghan for my 1yr old son. I crocheted him one when he was born and it is getting too small.
Have a lovely day!

I voted bright and early yesterday! I too was very serious about my decision (not that I'm not always serious about it). It is such an important moment in our country's history.
