We finally got our snow--about an inch of it. It started snowing yesterday morning and snowed for about four hours. Just when everything was turning all white and pretty, the snow stopped. Within no time, half of it had melted away--and within an hour or so you could hardly tell it had snowed at all.
Today it's cold. No, I mean IT'S COLD!!!!! The low was in the teens last night and is supposed to be again tonight. The sun's all shining so the dogs and I took a walk. We almost froze before we got back home. I told them we'd walk again in July.
Vann is home from hunting camp. While he was gone, I finally got my sewing room straightened up and cleaned enough so that it's possible to work in there again. And I have work to that I need to do, but I just want to sit in the living room bundled up in my fleece blanket visiting with Vann and the dogs.
I finished reading The Pillars of the Earth this weekend. That book has to go on my list of Top 10 Best Books (which now numbers about 20 books, I think).
I'm going to warm up the chili that I cooked yesterday , and we'll have that for lunch, with maybe grilled cheese sandwiches. Y'all keep warm.

Thanks for stopping by...pls. come back.

It's cold here, too, but the sun is shining so it doesn't feel that bad. I was watching the playoffs yesterday (go, Giants!) and boy, was I glad to be inside where it is warm. The windchill was 24 below zero. Ouch!

When you talked about this book a couple of days ago, I inmediately looked in my library and found it. My husband read it some months ago and loved it too. Now is in my "waiting to be read"books, but with the trip to Paris I didn't want to carry such a huge book with me. Perhaps I can begin reading it tonight. Chilli...mmmm...and from yesterday....even more delicious!
