Look at this beautiful scrapbook page that Georgina, a sweet blogging friend from Spain, and her doggies sent Sophie. If you've never visited Georgina's blog, you're in for a treat. The blog is beautiful and so is Georgina's quilting and needlework. If, like me and Sophie, you aren't very proficient in Spanish, she has a Babel Fish button so you can translate the blog into English. So go on over to El Blog de Georginia. Sophie had a great birthday. She received e-cards, e-mails, and blog comments from a lot of you (including her Aunt Sister), and she asked me to thank you for them. She's too busy right now resting up from yesterday.
My book club met yesterday at my house, and of course Sophie thought everyone was here to celebrate her birthday, so she joined right in. She even got her own dish of Cranberry/Pear Crisp with a little Ranch Dressing and a crumbled almond cookie on the side. Then she jumped up on the back of the sofa (one of her favorite perches) and listened to the book discussion with interest.
Next week, I really have to get busy straightening up and organizing in my sewing room. All during the carpet installation phase and the holiday phase of our lives, stuff got tossed in there "for the time being" to get it out of the way. Now I can hardly get into the room. My quilt guild's annual retreat at Camp McDowell is coming up in February, and I have to get organized before I can decide what I'll take to work on. If you don't see a photo of an orderly sewing room by this time next week, remind me that I vowed to straighten it up.
