I have almost all the books put back on their shelves. I decided I'd leave all the Christmas books out and use them in decorating--that is, if I ever get around to decorating.
Things are slowly (and I mean s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w-l-y) getting back to normal after The Great Carpet Installation of Late 2007. Almost all the boxes are empty, and even though I still can't see any of the tabletops, I know that the end is near.
It better be near, the end I mean. Christmas is drawing ever closer, Phillip and Carrie are coming in from Wyoming on the 20th; Amy's coming too, but I don't know when.
Not only have I not done any decorating (except for the accidentally decorated table above), I have done no Christmas shopping, no addressing or mailing of Christmas cards, no baking--heck! I haven't even made a list, much less have I checked it twice. Santa Baby! Help!

I love collecting Christmas books. Have you read Philip Gulley's "Christmas in Harmony"? I've enjoyed the entire Harmony series. :-)

Sometimes it is so hard to get moving on Christmas - I feel this every year. In fact I often say lets not even bother with all the decorations but I do take them all out and then I'm happy I did.

Girl, make some of the quick candies, cookies from the groc. store can be covered in your icing and sprinkled with colored sugar, buy an already cooked ham, snacks, put up a SMALL tree, hang a few inexpensive stockings and WALLA, instant Christmas. They are all going to be so glad to be with you that not one of them will complain if there's not enuf decorating. Well, they MIGHT holler if there's no gifts so you might set aside one day for shopping!! lol
