Just a Note

I just want to check in to let any readers I have left know that I'm not dead. I have just felt so lousy lately. The pain has been horrendous. Walking is more difficult than ever. I'm hoping the warmer weather will help matters. I hate hot, humid weather. But maybe it will be a blessing this year. Not today, however. I woke up to dark skies and thunder. Rain since then. The pain in my back, hips, and legs is horrible.

I did finally get all the credit/debit card matter sorted out. In fact, somehow I came out of it with an extra debit card account, which is helpful. I gave one to Jesse to use when I call him at work to stop by the store and pick up things. Now we don't have to switch the one card back and forth.

I have read several books since my last post. I'll try to get back soon to list them.

I haven't done a bit of sewing or quilting in weeks though. Sitting at the sewing machine is more than I can face right now. I have lots of plans for such time as I feel like implementing them. but that won't be today.

  2. Oh, my friend, I'm so very sorry to hear about the pain you're dealing with and join JD's hope it settles down soon.
So glad your plastic card nightmare is over without dire problems. What good news!
I'm machine quilting a Hoffman Skylines panel and its borders. So far, am not quite finished with quilting the sky part of the panel and am having to sew, then stop for a couple of days so my shoulders quit aching. What a bother!

    Hugs!

I'm so sorry you are in pain! It is so debilitating. Meds take the edge off pain but they say don't take after age 65 because they do damage to the kidneys or liver. Sheech, that's when we need the meds the most. I learned about pain this year. I dislocated my shoulder, tore the rotator cuff, and cracked the humerus. All my own fault for rushing about and then tripping over my dogs onto concrete. Pain and a torn rotator has stopped me from all sewing, painting, and gardening. Thank God I love to read and can enjoy getting lost in a good book. I look forward to reading your list of books. Surgery to repair my shoulder is in another week, a sling for 4 to 6 weeks, physical therapy, and hopefully I will be able to lift my arm again. I'm saying a prayer for you that the warm weather will be a blessing.
