We have had a very busy and productive weekend. Saturday morning, we went with a group from my church to work on a house renovation, a project that we're sponsoring through Habitat for Humanity. It was very hot, and the humidity was in the soupy range. But everyone worked very hard and got a lot done. We'll be working for the next several weekends to give Ms. Mary's (second row; 6th from right) house some curb appeal. When the project is finished, she'll have a new roof, new windows, a new paint job, and a de-weeded garden.
After leaving the jobsite, I made the yard sale rounds. Found these wonderful cups for $1 each. I love blue dishes. In fact, I love just about any kind of dishes. I had to move a bunch of stuff around to get the cups to fit in my cabinet.
Today was more restful. After church, we had lunch at Ming Hui with Lori Belle--then came home and took a nap. After the nap, I had a cup of coffee from one of my new blue cups. Then I worked on my photography assignment while Vann cut the grass. (See the new photo in the "Family and Friends" album to see how cute he is when he's hot and sweaty. That's my man!)
Now it's only 30 minutes until we find out what happens to the rest of the Soprano gang, those that are still living. I'm so excited. My friend Carole called a bit ago and said her cable has been out since last night. She was in a red-hot panic. I invited her to come to my house to watch if her cable doesn't come back on. Haven't heard from her again, so maybe it's back.
Hope everyone had a great weekend like Vann, Sophie, and I did.

Hi!
Okay, now...you haven't posted. What did you think of the end of the Sopranos? At first I was stunned and said out loud, "That is the chicken's way out of it!" Yet, the more I've thought about it, the more I approve of an "endless" end. I can't think of a better way to finish such a successful series. It was typically unexpected, novel, and a bit shocking...almost like the viewers all got whacked instead of the mob!
