This has been a tragic week in our neighborhood. Tommy disappeared on Saturday and has not been found. Then a neighbor's mother passed away. And yesterday afternoon, one of Vann's very good friends, Chip, who lived on the next street down, died while at hunting camp. He was younger than Vann but had had previous heart problems. So it's a very glum mood in our neck of the woods. Sort of put the damper on our excitement over the cruise. We leave on Friday to drive to Vann's parents' place in south Georgia. Then we'll drive on to Canavarel on Saturday. Our boat sails at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
We really need this break, especially now. I hope we come back renewed and in good spirits, with no aches and pains. My back pains have returned. I'm walking every day and doing my p.t., but nothing seems to be helping a lot. I'm hoping a few days in a deck chair, breathing sea air and soaking up the Caribbean sun will change all that.
I have to finish a quilt page and then make a postcard today. So I better click off.

Thanks for your comment on my journal quilt. I am sorry to hear of the sadness. I do hope you have a wonderful and refreshing time on your cruise. I also love your quilt page for the round robin.

Tommy is still AWOL. Oh no.
Thinking about your upcoming cruise and a tad envious.
