QuiltFest Travels in Style

Quiltmobile_4
They call it a "Car Cozy." It's the cover that members of my quilt guild made for one member's husband's Suburban to wear around town and advertise our quilt show. Members donated orphan blocks, and other members put the whole thing together. Certainly an attention getter, wouldn't you say?

The car cozy was on display yesterday at our guild meeting. As were several great quilts and quilted items. Here's a little bit of our "Show 'n' Tell."

Post_1 Judy C's quilt, made from a tablecloth that she bought from a street vendor in Paris.

Post_2 Judy W's journal quilt.

Post_3_2 Jan H's frog quilt.

Post_4 Peggy R's Barbara Randle purse.

The quilt car cozy is the best idea for advertizing that I have seen in a long time. I wish your "fest" mush success! Very clever!

Oh my gosh, I think you just gave my daughter Sara an idea on how to advertise her new business! At least her car is a Mini, so when she makes me sew her a car cozy it won't be so big as the one for the SUV in your picture!
