OK, so my photography instructor liked everything about the photo except the tight cropping (which was sort of the first rule when I worked in publishing). Guess art photography is different. Of course it it.
So here's another shot I posted for her, a little further back. I must say, I think I like the other one better. But maybe not. I don't know. Who knows? This is all so confusing.

Okay. I dig what your instructor was saying, but from a composition and balance point of view, I think the tight one is better. JMHO.

Hmmm. My vote is for the tight one too. I have such a hard time taking those close up pictures. When they turn out it is always a surprise to me. I think it is fabulous that you are taking a digital photography class!
