Great Blog Giveaway: Day 6

Fabric_2I'm really late posting the Giveaway today. But I have a good reason--several good reasons, actually.

First, this was Quilting Bee Day for me, and I was the hostess this month. So I had to get up very early and prepare: straighten up the downstairs, prepare food and drink, take a shower. Vann helped me straighten up by vacuuming. Thank you, sweet husband.

The ladies arrived at 9:30 sharp--all except Doris, who wasn't here until about 9:45 'cause she lives way down in Shelby County and has a long way to drive. They stayed until almost noon. We had a wonderful time, talking and laughing and stitching and showing and telling. Mary U. joined us today, our newest member.

I had my camera all ready to take pictures, but I guess I just got enthralled with the great projects everyone was showing and forgot all about the camera. So I have nothing to show. Just believe me, I saw some great work this morning.

After everyone left, I made lunch for Vann (I wasn't hungry since I had snacked on the bee goodies). Then I cleaned up the kitchen. After all that work and visiting and laughing and talking and eating, I was ready for a nap. (So were Vann and Sophie.) The three of us have been snoozing since about 2:00.

So anyway, here are the giveaways for today: four pieces of fabric that I'll give away in three drawings. The first drawing will be for two pieces: the tropical birds, which is 1/2 yard minus a large square cut from one corner--or a fat quarter plus some more--and the blue-and-brown baking goods piece, which is a fat quarter.

The second drawing for Day 6 will be this bird-house print by Hoffman. It a 33"xwidth of fabric piece, also with a large square cut from one corner.

The final drawing for Day 6 will be this Mabel Lucie Atwell fabric from The Woodrow  Studio of London. It's a full yard of fabric with nothing cut from it.

Good luck to all on these drawings. One more coming tomorrow--and even I don't know what that will be yet.

I have a really cute old post card by Atwell-a Mary Had a little lamb one; this would be a neat win. The post card shows a little girl in a high chair and says: "Mary had a little lamb, little, I repeat it. Damn, said little Mary, It's won't take long to eat it."
I'm in, and thanks!
