Getting Started

Star_fabs
Yesterday, I got started constructing the first Christmas banner for the church. Step 1 was to trace the entire (huge) pattern on the muslin foundation (also huge). Thank goodness, my dining room table was just big enough to use as a work surface.
I will use these fabrics to make the star and star points. The star points (rays, whatever) will be strip pieced, starting with the lightest fabric near the star and working outward to the darkest. I'd like to get the strip piecing done today, but that looks unlikely. Vann is barbecuing ribs, we're having company for lunch, and I'm having a severe allergy attack.

Claretin. Absolutely the best. We're barbecuing ribs today. Gotta have ribs on summer holidays. And corn, gotta have corn.

Gorgeous fabrics. Sorry I couldn't get that email for ya, but it looks like you're going to be fine with that kit.

I'm sorry about your allergy attack. Allergies have been terrible this year. I'm with Rian on Claritin, but if you are stuffy you want Claritin D--or take it with Sudafed. You need to take it every day, even if you don't feel you have allergies. This is what my doctor told me, and the allergy attacks and headaches I was having are much less frequent now!
Dang...wish you lived by me. I could give you free samples, since I work for a doctor!
Oh, wow...before I forget...those colors are GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see the finished product!
