Book Talk

Harry_potter_2

Last evening, while Vann and Sophie conducted their regular neighborhood visits, I finished Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper. After crying uncontrollably for 45 minutes, I picked up my brand new copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and began to read. Didn't get much read, though. My eyes were burning and puffy from the crying. Talk about a surprise ending--a horribly sad surprise ending! But My Sister's Keeper is an excellent book, if you can endure the sadness. Picoult is a wonderful storyteller and writer. I'm just hoping that J.K. Rowlling doesn't kill off Harry or one of the other characters that I love. I can't stand any more crying right now. (And if you've already read the book, don't tell me.)

My only complaint about JK Rowling is that I wish she'd had more about Ron's twin bros. that have the magic shop- that was FUN to read about. Made you feel like a kid, again. And more about trips to that
village with the strange shops where the kids bought their school supplies.

I am going to check out the book, My Sisters Keeper today at the library if they have it in. I've been collecting stuff for my fairy cottage and plan on working on it this week - end. Have a great day. Nita
