Right? Well let me tell you that this quilt has completely decimated my last nerve. It took two days to arrange, rearrange, and rearrange some more the blocks you see here so that they're correct with the diagram. Every time I thought I had it correct, I found I didn't.
I'm making this to enter in my guild's next June quilt show. But I have no illusions of it winning any ribbons, unless they have one for most missed point matchings.
If I didn't have so much time already invested in the darn thing, I'd put a border on this piece and turn it in for the children's charity quilt.
This is the top left corner of the quilt, not even 1/6 of the entire thing. I do have a lot more cut out, almost all of the squares, I think. And I have lots more blocks sewn. I'll probably get back to putting them together tomorrow. But for now, my nerves and my back told me that's enough.

As my Dad would have said, this quilt is a wang-dilly! It's hard to see the sense in its layout but I do realize the photo shows only 1/6 of it. Would it make better sense and be easier if you start at the center and work outward? I mean only the block construction and not sewing blocks to each other.
Does the quilt pattern have a name so I can look it up to see the whole quilt?
It's always good to stop when your bones and muscles tell you to and you do have most of a year to complete it, so I hope you'll carry on and have fun - the colors are great!
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, etc until you get to I thought I could and I DID!!

That is a beautiful design. I'm afraid if I tried it, it would have ended up in the trash in frustration! You are brave!
