Springy Ding Ding!

Feaefbbfbb11b99bf45994c352bcdc5b

So much on my mind lately, I didn't even realize it was the first day of spring until I signed onto Facebook this morning and saw all the posts. We have a frost warning for tonight, so for some it might not feel like spring, but it's nothing usual for our area of the world. My mama always said that you don't plant anything until after Easter because there can still be freezing temperatures until then.

St. Patrick's Day wasn't very exciting here at The Yellow House. I had planned to make corned beef and cabbage, which I usually do on St. Patty's Day. But the store didn't have any corned beef. So I changed my plans and decided on shepherd's pie, but then found out that Andy and Jesse are both dieting and can eat nothing but meat and cheese. So we had hot dogs. I had mine with a bun; their's were bunless. Then Andy and I watched a movie, and Jesse went to his girlfriend's house. I don't know why they don't just get married. But Jesse has said since he was a little boy that he wasn't ever getting married. I guess he meant it.

I stitched the 11th cat block for Kris's quilt today and cut out the 12th. Twelve blocks and sashing required, so I'm getting closer. I have three quilt started that I want to finish in time for my guild's June 2026 quilt show, so I need to get hopping on them.

Happy Springtime, everyone.

Happy Spring to you!

We didn't do anything special for St. Patrick's day cuz DH started with the flu and felt awful. That has been our week, too, but so far (knock wood) I'm okay.

Well done on your progress of making the cute kitty blocks!!

If I had more energy, I'd have a clear space to cut fabric to make a huge pillowcase for a weighted blanket we got for DS2 whose birthday is in about 3 weeks.

DS1 and his wife lived together for nearly 10 years before getting married, so there is that.

Wishing you well in getting a little stitching done each day so your quilts are ready for the quilt show in plenty of time!

Hugs!
