Winter Pays a Visit
Our Ozzy. Actually daughter Andy's Ozzy, but I''m his grandma. And he's a very good boy.
Temps have been in the 30s for the past few nights with chilly, windy days. But don't get excited. We could see 80s again soon. That's how the weather rolls these days. Never know what tomorrow's going to bring.
I did my Thanksgiving shopping yesterday--a few dollars shy of $300 I spent. Every time I pay one of those huge grocery bills, I think of people who have limited income and kids to feed. And I pray and take a bag of groceries to the Blessing Box.
I didn't get any sewing done yesterday. The grocery shopping left me exhausted. Andy came over, we had Zaxby's take-out (I love their "zalads". And we watched a movie we found on Prime that I had never heard of: "Behind the Red Door" starring Kiefer Sutherland and Kyra Sedgewick. It's an old movie, 2003, and I'm a Kiefer fan, so I don't know why I had not discovered it before. It was a good one. Kiefer and Kyra play brother and sister who have been estranged. The brother's terminal illness brings them back together, and the rest calls for a box of Kleenex.
My cleaning lady comes today, so when she gets here, I'll retire to the sewing room and sew a few more cat blocks.
Thinking of JFK, November 22, 1963. Rest in Peace, Sir.

I hear you on the cost of groceries and the fatigue that comes with a trip to the grocery. We're headed there today so plan for an easy dinner afterwards. Maybe Pot Stickers and salad.
Our weather has had us in the low 30s*F at night and in the 40s*F to low 60s*F in the daytime but our marigolds are still blooming.
I've not sewn much lately as I've been derailed by the death of my best quilting nurse friend in Waco.
Hugs!
