Sew and Sew

CqqDecember Cat Calendar Block

After having not done any sewing at all since before the holidays, I finally spent two days (well, parts of two days) there this past week, Friday and Saturday. I got the rows of the chicken quilt sewn together (still trying to decide whether to add another border), and constructed the December block for my cat calendar quilt.

It's as cold as a witch's toenails here, a condition that I think exists in much of the country. I decided to avoid the cold and stay home from church this morning. Usually I love cold weather, but lately it affects my pain level quilt a bit. I found myself this morning, as I was trying to get in the shower without disaster, thinking of barbecue and watermelon. I know once July, in all its glorious heat and humidity, are here, I'll be thinking of January.

Stay warm, good folks.

Jan21 - 1The cat calendar blocks so far: TL, September; TR, October;
BL, November; BR, December

What cute cat blocks and I love the various fabrics in the cups to represent each month!

I've grown tired of cold weather, too, but the coming 10 days will be warmer so there will be no snow.

Will send you a photo of the finished pillow that was mailed yesterday.

Hugs!
