House
Except for a few hand embroidery details, I think "Rosie's Dollhouse" is finished. And I'm also thinking of putting a snowman on the front yard, just to emphasize the snow.

I'm also thinking of asking my long-arm quilting friend if she can baste it for me for hand quilting. But I'm not sure about that yet.

Cat
Don't miss the kitty cat (above) waiting at the front door to be let in out of the cold.

Cow
My cow is ready to join my farm animal quilt. But I have a few more blocks to go yet.

Various friends on Facebook are talking about tastes of Autumn and cooler weather where they are. I''m afraid that condition hasn't made it to Alabama yet. Still hot and humid. In fact, it's so dang hot that I just saw a hound dog chasing a rabbit—and they were both walking. Not really. But it is hot.

Oh, and if you're looking for a very very very good book to read, I suggest Hello, Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. I just finished it, and it has nudged out The Past Is Never by Tiffany Quay Tyson as the best book I've read all year--but not by much. I recommend them both to those who love really good storytelling.

Rosie's Coll House is precious and am so glad you've been able to finish it! I think the snowman is a good idea, too. Hope your quilter can get it basted for you. Also hope someone can let that chilly kitty indoors!

Thanks for the book recommendations as I love to read.

Last week it was hot here, Temperatures topped in the upper 90s*F and that didn't count the heat index which maxed out Saturday at 110*F. Happily, it's back in the 80s*F now which is nearly unheard of here for August.

Hugs!
