Horsey
My sky fabric arrived for the dollhouse quilt, and I was ready to get back to work on it. Then I saw a sweet little quiltlet that a Facebook friend had made and I got an itch to make one too. It's called Fab Farm by Elizabeth Hartman. The pattern has two versions: a large quilt and a small wallhanging. I'm making the small one.
I went ahead and stitched up the horse block (photo above) today while my cleaning lady was cleaning the house. I'll put it away now until I finish the dollhouse.
I was a little disappointed with the instructions, which hop around throughout the document. For instance, fabric requirements for an animal is near the beginning. Then you have to skip over several pages for cutting instructions and the beginning of sewing instructions. Then you have to skip a bunch more pages for the rest of that animal's instructions. Also some information is left off the diagrams.
But I managed to get the horse instructions figured out and finished it and the and strawberry block, which is actually part of the horse block. There is a cow, a sheep, a chicken, a pig, a bee, a goat, and a sunflower to go.
One of my favorite tv series of the 21st Century has been "Justified" starring Timothy Oliphant. When the series ended a few years ago, I was very disappointed. Well, I'm happy to say that a sequel begins tonight on FX (and streaming on Hulu) entitled "Justified: City Primeval," also starring Timothy Oliphant as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. The setting has changed from Harlan County, Kentucky to Detroit, and I don't think any of the original characters, except for Raylan, are returning. But maybe some new characters have been created that are just as entertaining--I hope. Can't wait till 9:00 when the series begins.

Love your wonderful horse and am sorry the instructions were so poorly organized. How annoying!
We have rain this morning which is most welcome and I hope to sew today.
We get our new oven tomorrow and we're so
Hugs!
