What's Love Got To Do With It?

Everything

I was in the doctor's office yesterday fiddling with my phone and waiting to be called when I signed on to Facebook and suddenly learned of Tina Turner's death. I was devastated. I think I scared the guy sitting next to me when I gasped and dropped my phone.

This strong and talented woman has been an idol of mine since the first time I heard her perform "Proud Mary."

She brought a lot of pleasure to lovers of rock and R&B music. The world will be a darker place without her.

Rest with the angels, Tina. And if you happen to see Ike roaming around up there, kick him in the--well, you get the idea. Love you, lady.

She lived in the next village to me in Switzerland for the last 25 years. I've only ever heard good things - she was not a diva, was sometimes (but not recently) seen in the supermarket - sadly not by me, and she even paid for lovely Christmas decorations for the village. No scandal, nice lady. She will be missed.

I felt the same way! I had tears in my eyes listening to the tribute to Tina on the news. This one really hit me.

I so agree. Tina was amazing, so energetic and almost electric. She will be missed but she leaves her music!

Hugs!
