Happy New Year

I hope all of you have had as great a holiday season as I have. Yeah, I've had to deal with illness. And  I haven't been able to be with everyone I would have liked, but Andy and Jesse did their best to make up for the absences. We have cooked good food, eaten good food, and watched tons of movies.

Today we had the traditional turnip greens, black-eyed peas, and corn bead with ham. Apple pie and ice cream for dessert.

After movie watching, Andy took down the Christmas tree and packed away the ornaments while I washed up the few dishes we had used. Jesse will take the tree down to the basement and put the boxes of ornaments in the top of my closet.

I'm happy to say that my covid effects seem to be getting better. At first I had an adverse reaction to the Albuterol: trembling and chest tightness. But I spread out the puffs a little, cut out caffeine, and that problem cleared up. Very little coughing now, and only one or two bronchial spams today. Got my fingers crossed that the worst is over.

I'm very tired tonight, so I'm going to get my book, snuggle up with Taco, and enjoy the last dregs of the holiday.

God's blessings to you all.

A belated Happy New Year top you, my friend!
It's good to hear you're feeling better and hope the covid bothers will leave you alone soon.
We also had ham, black-eyed peas, but this year had no cornbread as we had leftover cornbread dressing that DH made. Yum!
Please send Andy here to take down our tree as my energy is very like that of a wet noodle. Ta!
It is unseasonably warm here with the high today of 70*F and the coming 10 day forecast has the lowest daytime temperature at 48*F and most of the other days in the 50s*F to 60s*F so what is up with that?

Hugs!
