I finally got into my long-neglected sewing room yesterday and stitched up the backing for Karen't log cabin quilt. I think this might very well be the last big quilt (queen or larger) that I make. With my pain and stiffness issues, I find it very hard to handle large pieces of fabric.
The pieced strip goes vertically down the backing, not horizontally as it looks to be in the photos.
Now I have to decide on a quilter. As I think I've said before, Lena, who has been quilting for me for many years, retired. I have several possibles. Just have to look at some of their work and decide.
It's a drizzly wet day today, and I have to venture out into it for grocery shopping. I don't mind wet days, but I detest grocery shopping.

Wonderful quilt backing and quilt! Hope some of your quilt guild members can recommend an excellent long-arm quilter to you or perhaps you can ask Lena for a referral?
It's raining here today, too.
Hugs!
