My Spooky Front Porch

Porch - 1
Welcome to Autumn at the Yellow House, our favorite time of year. This year is going to be decidedly different, I'm sure. I don't expect any trick-or-treaters (but I'll have treats ready just in case). We're still cojutating over Halloween chili night, trying to decide if Jesse, Andy, and I can partake of a pot together safely. And I'm sure and positive that Thanksgiving will not be the same. Traditionally, the family has gathered here for our Thanksgiving feast, but we're thinking everyone will be on their own this year. It will be just me and Andy and Jesse (and the critters). But we're looking forward to it anyway--especially Jesse. He looks forward to any occasion that will include chicken and dressing.

I finally got the front porch gussied up a little. Even though the prospect of trick-or-treaters is doubtful, one never knows when The Great Pumpkin or the Sanderson Sisters might fly over. Wouldn't want them to think they aren't welcome in the 'hood.

Porch - 1 (3)My friend Maria gave me this wonderful Pumpkin-witch, complete with her broom and chicken on her shoulder.

Porch - 1 (2)When I ordered this skeleton, I understood him to be life size. I was planning to dress him up and give him a seat at the dining table. But since he is small, his job is to hang on The Yellow House plaque.
