Back to Bats
I have not forgot about my Halloween Mystery Quilt. Many of the participants have finished their tops and have posted photos on The Quilt Company Facebook Mystery page. But I hit a snag and got delayed.
The fabric above is what I had originally planned for the side triangles. But it turns out, I didn’t have enough. I also had planned to use the orange dot fabric somewhere in the top, but the opportunity never arose. So scratch that plan.
I search all the retail fabric sources within driving distance of me and found nothing I liked. So I went online and found this cute bat fabric and decided it was perfect. Not as colorful as the witches and cats, but I think it will work.
I got the rest of my red spiders cut out and fused to the spider wet blocks today. Tomorrow I plan to work on blanket stitching their edges. If I have any steam left, I’ll get the side triangles cut out, and then I can start putting the blocks together into a quilt top.
I have even come up with a name for the quilt: “Bite Me.”

What great progress you've made!! Love the witch fabric and am sorry you didn't have enough of it. The batty fabric are a good alternative. Love the quilt's name!
I pieced a backing for my Halloween tree so now need to layer it and machine quilt it quickly.
Hugs!

Just a thought: perhaps the witch fabric can go in the corners and you can fussy cut it to show the witches you prefer.
More hugs!
