In the Mood for Autumn

Bird

I saw the first Little Yellow Butterfly of the season before August even arrived, so I know Autumn is on the way--which puts me in the mood to make autumny quilts--especially halloween ones.

I’ve had the pattern in the photo above for a while now and decided I would whip it out yesterday. Well, it refused to whip. For some reason, the instructions confused me. I had to recut a couple of pieces and finally got the first section to fit together this morning.

But even before I got to the sewing room this morning, while I was having my coffee and cruising around on the internet, I found this (above). I have never participated in a Mystery Quilt Challenge before, but this one tweaked my interest. So I committed. I’m off now to work on Clue 1.

If you are interested in joining the challenge go to The Quilting Company website and check it out. You might have to cut and paste. Either I have forgot the code for inserting links, or the links just don’t want to work on this computer, so here’s the website:

Or if you don’t want to cut and paste, just google The Quilting Company.
