For Kathryn

DSC_0003

My DIL, Kathryn, goes by the nickname of Spooky. I don’t know why. That’s just what Cait has always called her. She is also an avid cat person. She and Cait have two beautiful kitties, Selwyn and Lydia. When I first saw this cute Halloween pattern, I immediately thought of Kathryn, downloaded the pattern, and went to work on it for her. This morning, I got the kitty and the letters fused. All that is left to finish is outline stitch the appliques, either quilt it myself or have Lena quilt it, and put on some binding and a label. That’s a lot for me, so I hope to get it done by Christmas to give to her. If a miracle happens and I finish before Christmas, I might even give it to her early. I’m very anxious for her to see it. I don’t think she reads my blog very often, so I’m not much worried about her seeing it here.

Today’s the day that Clue 2 of the Halloween Mystery Quilt is to be posted. So I’m going now to download it and work for a little while longer in the sewing room. Skipper is being a very good dog and not fussing at me to come downstairs. So I’m making hay while the dog doesn’t bark, so to speak.
