Believe me when I say that you who commented on my post yesterday made me very happy and proud--proud mostly to have such great and understanding friends, but also proud to know that I still live in an American where the majority of people hold to American values of freedom and compassion and love for their neighbors. I might not get around to answering each one of you individually, but I have read each message several times now. Every time I feel like I'm going to burst into tears or have another panic attack, I go back to your messages and read them. Thank you, thank you, thank you, my friends. And thank you for reading my blog.
Anna is cleaning downstairs, and I'm in the sewing room. When I finish this post, I'm going to start cutting pieces for Jesse's quilt. He knows I'm making him one because he caught me measuring his bed, but he doesn't have any idea what it will look like. I'd like to have it ready for his birthday on March 31, two months from now, but he might just have to get a gift certificate for it until it is done. We'll see.
I got my "Little Pink Houses" quilt hung in the foyer this morning, definitely the most Valentine-themed quilt I've made. It will stay up until sometime in March or April when I'll hang the Bunny quilt.

Happy February, everyone. And thank you all again for your comments and friendship.

Cute quilts, Susan! I've had to take a temporary break from FaceBook for awhile, as my stress level was going through the roof. I always enjoyed your comments and the things you posted regarding the political situation and often "liked" or commented on them. I'll be back some day, just as soon as I get my blood pressure under control.
Thank goodness for quilting as an escape from all the awfulness going on right now.

I love the pink houses quilt. My daughter loves houses. Loves to build them and draw them. Your quilt is beautiful.
