A Week Away

Blog1

From blogging that is. I've been even longer away from the sewing room, three weeks, I think. But I'm back today. I just had to have some sewing time. I finished up the body of the Bonnie Hunter "Talking Turkey" quiltlet (photo above). I'll add a border made from random-width red strips (see photo below). I have a bunch of them left over from making the turkey triangles, but will probably have to cut some more.

So now that I have my back hurting like heck, and Skipper is doing everything he can, including dragging out fabric and chewing up paper, to get me to come downstairs, I'm out of here.

Happy Solstice to you all. For all you winterphobes, remember the days start getting longer starting tomorrow. As for me, I love winter. It's summer that I can hardly live through.

Love Talking Turkey, another of Bonnie's wonderful quilts. Yours is lovely with all the reds that surface during the Christmas season. Glad you've held together long enough to get this together. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Talk at you next year.
