Although this block is not in Lori Holt's Farm Girl Vintage book, it is one of her patterns, and I felt it would go well in the farm girl sampler quilt. The pattern and instructions are on Lori's blog. If you would like to make your own Tom Turkey block, the tutorial is free of charge. Just go to this link. When finished, Tom Turkey will have embroidered feet and legs.
You who have been reading my blog for a few years might remember that I made this same block as a pillow front a couple of years ago (see photo above). Trouble is, I never have got the pillow made. Maybe that's a goal to shoot for before this year's Thanksgiving.
That's it for today. I have laundry to finish, so no more blocks today.
Four more to go!!!

I admire you so for sticking with your Farm Girl quilt blocks. I have that book but don't know if I'll ever attempt making it. Love your scrappy fabrics, too.

Well, you could continue sewing and just wear a loose dress...ha ha.
That dang laundry never stays done unless we stop wearing clothes.
Your blocks are so very cute that I know someday I will get started on mine. Someday. Today I am binding Quilt #2 that is going to China in September. Then I start Quilt #3. But 2 out of 4 for a trip in September is a great start!!
