I have the best friends in the world. One of them is Nancy M., a quilting friend and guild sister of mine. When she learned I was planning to make the Halloween Tree wallhanging, she offered me a bundle of Hallween/Autumn print fabrics from her stash. Yesterday while I was out, she brought them by my house. So I had a wonderful surprise on my front porch when I got home from a very exhausting outing. Nancy had left me a phone message to make sure I knew the package was there.
I sat down right away and started going through the fabrics and loving each one. I have been through them now several times, and I'm sure that most of them will work in the Halloween Tree. But one in particular is going to be enlisted for my Farm Girl Sampler quilt--for the background of the Pumpkin block

This is the print I plan to use for the background of my Pumpkin sampler block.

Here's an example of the Pumpkin sampler block. I found this photo online, and it didn't have a maker's name, so I'm posting it without a credit. Sorry about that.
But for now, I'm going to work on the Barn Cat block, since I already have the fabric laid out for him. He's going to be a Tabby Cat.

Cheers for good friends who share fabric!! Love the many wonderful prints and know you'll put them to good use. How perfect that one fabric will be just right for the pumpkin block.
