Red Ribbon Winner

I was tickled pink that my quilt "Little Pink Houses" was awarded a second-place ribbon at this weekend's Birmingham Quilters Guild's Quiltfest 2015.

LPH Quilt

When Jesse came in from work and saw the quilt, adorned with its ribbon, lying on the kitchen table, he smiled and offered kudos then asked why it didn't win first place.

"Silly Jesse," I scoffed. "Because the red second-place ribbon was a perfect match to the quilt."

I don't know what quilt took first in that category, but as soon as I get a winners list, I'll show you (and Jesse).

Tomorrow I will post photos of some of the other gorgeous quilts in this year's quilt show.

I am linking this post to Beverly's Pink Saturday blog party. I haven't participated in a while, but this quilt is perfect for Pnk Saturday. Take a trip over to Beverly's blog by clicking on the link and see what I mean.

Applause, APPLAUSE!!! Well done in winning second place with it's red and perfectly matching ribbon! I know if there was a MOST CHARMING category, your Little Pink Houses quilt would have won first place in that!! Please take a photo of your quilt when you hang it in your foyer.

I'm looking forward to seeing the show quilts you photographed, but none will make me smile or be as happy for you as this great news has!

Happy dancing and big hugs!

this is a beautiful quilt! I love all the hearts and the little surprise blue here and there. My mother made quilts and I have a lovely one with hearts and strawberry fabric. Warm fuzzies!

Your beautiful quilt reminds me of my days at my farmhouse in an apple orchard in the 1980's. So quaint and homey.
