I had a sweet note from a blog reader yesterday. She found one of the old Oxmoor House books at a yard sale and recognized my name on one of the quilts.
I came to OH in 1988 as an assistant editor, left in 2001 (early retirement) at which time I was Senior Editor Over quilting, needlework, and crafts. During the years that I headed up that department, we produced hundreds of books and I got to work with some of the most talented artists in the field: Georgia Bonesteel, Liz Porter, Marianne Fons, Nancy Zeiman, and many others. We even published some crochet books with Vanna White. It was a great job and a memorable finale to a fun career.

What a wonderful find for your reader! I've never seen that book but will have to see if the library might have it. In 1988, I was still 4 years from beginning to make quilts and was still cross stitching.
I've often thought you had the most wonderful job on the planet at Oxmoor House. Sigh! Is the large quilt pictured in your post your quilt from the book? Love it!
Do you have one of each quilting book produced while you were at OH?
Hugs!
