Counting down the days but not getting as much done as I would like. And what's worse, I've added a couple of project to my Christmas sewing list: nice fleece sweaters for Sophie and Skipper. The blues are for Skipper; the red/black combo is for Sophie (red is her signature color).
When the weather started turning cold, I looked everywhere for sweaters or t-shirts for them. They each have sweaters, but I wanted something a little lighter, so that I don't have to remove them when they come in the house each time. I haven't been able to find anything except really heavy sweaters and coats, frufru tutus and costumes, and $20 football tees. Hancock's had its fleece on sale yesterday when I dropped in, so I decided that I'd make each of the doggies a sweater for Christmas. Got all the fabric and the pattern for both dogs for less than $20. I'm sure glad I didn't bow to temptation and buy those Bama Crimson Tide tees for them. I almost did. But then I decided that spending $40 for two dog t-shirt was just a little more decadent than I wanted to be. And anyway, my doggies wouldn't know the Tide from the Bad News Bears. And their little fleecies will keep them plenty warm and look great.
I had the most awesome back spasm this morning that I've ever had. I actually screamed--long and loud. When it finally ceased, I was sweating and all four furbies were staring at me. I assured them I was ok, just letting off a little steam. Skipper jumped in my lap and licked my face. Sophie's expression said, "You think that was pain? Let me tell you about pain." The cats nonchalantly turned and left the area.
I'm going now to spend what will probably turn out to be a short time working on Christmas projects. Pajama pants is on the schedule for today. I have one more pair on the must-make list.

What a cute pattern - those will look great and keep them so nice and "toasty warm" as my mom would say!

I found an all-black sweater for Maisy at Wal-Mart, $4.97. Fits her perfectly and it's not noticeable because she's black. Did get her another one for Christmas though. She doesn't mind wearing it, especially on cold days. All that cold air sinks to the floor where she it.

Love the pattern and the fabrics you chose! Sophie and Skipper will be so cozy! The bonus is they cannot read the calendar, so if their wraps aren't finished by Christmas Day, they won't be disappointed.
Sorry about that back spasm and I hope it's not repeated ever, ever again. OUCH!
I completed and wrapped the two Scottie table runners and am destined (doomed?) to spend time at the post office today.
Hugs!
