Back at Guild

Today was the first meeting of Birmingham Quilters Guild for the new year, 2014-15. We had a full business meeting and a great program. And although we didn't have a great deal of show and tell, what we had was wonderful. Here are some photos.

I had to show off my "Slumber Party" before I deliver it for quilting.

Our program featured local fabric artist Michelle Reyolds. Michelle uses scraps left over from her slipcover business to create amazing folk art pieces like theses.

So that's it till next month, folks.

Wonderful quilts from you and your very creative fellow quilters! Love the variety and the sheep from the wee hexies is too cute! The speaker's creations are delightful. I'm glad you felt like going to the meeting.

Today AMIL and I went to see our quilter, Sara, to take the big Single Irish Chain quilt and the two Oriental panels. We had fun visiting with Sara, seeing so many wonderful quilts, and choosing thread color and quilting patterns for all three quilts. I also picked up the Baby 9 Patch and Mr. Bones, both beautifully quilted. I've trimmed Mr. Bones and am about to trim the sweet little Single Irish Chain. Bindings are already made!

More rain today!

Hugs!
