Full House

For the next ten days, my house will contain three dogs, two cats, one grandson, and me, Lord willing.

Daisy arrived last night for her long stay at Camp SuSu. Lori stayed for a while when she dropped Daisy off, and we had a nice visit. Afterwards, the five furbies and I called it a day. All of us retired to my bedroom, except (of course) Bella. All of the four and me retired to my bed, except Daisy, who took to her new bed immediately. It just fits her.

Sometime in the night, I had to get up and shut Taco out. He loves to jump on the bed, irritate Skipper, and bug Sophie at about that time most nights. After that, I couldn't get back to sleep, so I turned on the light and read for a while until I was sleepy again. I woke up for good at 5:30, so I think I'm going to need a nap this afternoon.

While Anna is sprucing up the house, I'm going to try to get some sewing done. Quiltmaking has slowed to a virtual halt for the past week or so.

I made Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti yesterday. I served it to Jesse for dinner last night and also packed a big helping for his lunch today. Below is the recipe.

Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti

Ingredients

1 whole chicken or chicken pieces, cooked and cut into bite size pieces to make about 2 cups
1 box thin spaghetti or angel hair, broken into about 2" lengths
1 red pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
olive oil or vegetable oil of choice
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken broth
2 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350.

Saute chopped pepper and onion lightly in olive oil.

Cook spaghetti in boiling water to al dente stage. DO NOT OVERCOOK.

In large bowl, mix chicken, soup, broth, veggies, spaghetti, 1 1/2 cups of cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.

Pour into baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle remaining cup of cheese over the top.

Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

How cute Daisy is in her new little bed! Has she stayed at your home since Taco and Bella grew so big? Do they get along well? Hope so!

I sewed the blocks for the baby 9 Patch together Friday, so have cut all of the borders and have sewn the first on. Hope to sew the 2nd borders on today. It should take about 30 min., right? I can keep going for that long. I think I can, I think I can!

What are you working on?

Hugs!

MMM, that dish looks so good. Thank you for the recipe. It is just what the doctor ordered, literally. I just brought DH home from doctor visit with the order that he must eat soft foods for 2 weeks. I will change out the chicken bites to ground chicken for him.
Have fun with your menagerie.
