Feeling Glad All Over

Fri2
Taco is chilling in the boot bucket, a bucket I keep beside the back door to hold garden shoes, outdoor work shoes, and the occasional cat.

I'm feeling much better today, thank you. More energy, less pain. Life is good.

I have a couple of errands to run today. First to Kut Ups to see Gwen for a haircut. Then to Michael's for a couple of rubber stamps for a new quilt guild job I've taken on. I gave up the Block of the Month chairmanship after serving for two years. This coming year, I will serve as Inreach chairman. Inreach is what we call our program to send cards to members who are sick or have lost a loved one or had some other happening for which they need cheering.

3b19c2c0[1]I've ordered some Rebecca Barker blank quilt art cards. I love her art. I'm going to use rubber stamps to stamp "Get Well" or "In Sympathy," etc. After giving it a bunch of thought, I decided it would be easier to do it this way than to figure out how many of each kind of card I would potentially need.

The card at left is one of Rebecca's designs, but not one of the ones I ordered. I'm wondering now why I didn't though. All of her art is so charming that it's hard to choose.

Gotta get moving now before the glad wears off.

Cheers that you're feeling gladly better today and can get some pleasant errands accomplished!

Your idea to get blank cards and interchangable stamps is genius. As the calendar year goes on you'll certainly pat yourself on the back more than a few times as you use these wonderful cards to send thoughtful messages to guild members. I've had a Rebecca Barker calendar in the past and enjoyed her lovely designs each month.

You'll be happy every month that you're not doing the BOM job, too!! :)

I'm still trying to clear up the mess in my little sewing room. As you said, work a little, sip water, rest a little, and work some more until the spoons are in short supply.

Hugs!
