Bee Show 'n' Tell

We had a great monthly meeting yesterday of the Piecemaker's Quilting Bee. We gathered at Sally's house for yummy treats, a table full of freebies (I traded my wool scraps for a faux gold necklace), and some beautiful show and tell.

Bee1
Mary U., showed us a sweet little tumbler quilt she had whipped out She used her Accu-quilt cutter to cut the tumblers.

Bee2
Doris had a cute baby quilt to show also. (That's Doris peeking over the top.)

Bee3
Doris also shared with us this absolutely gorgeous pillow she made. She explained the technique she used, but I couldn't repeat it to you if my life depended on it. Something about using a steam iron to shrink the fabric after all the quilting is done.

Bee4
Sally (right) shows Barbara her latest stunning creation.

Bee5
Sally's little wool applique needle case, made with Sally's talented hands using Sue Spargo techniques.

And now, I sew.

Love the variety and charm of all the show and tell items! I think I'd call Doris' baby quilt "Spomonni Ice Cream" because that is what those colors remind me of. OH! I ended a sentence with a preposition. Call the grammar police...!

What are you sewing?

A huge storm roared thru here just after daybreak with loud thunder, blazing lightening, and torrential rain that lasted 2 hours. The cats were under the bed and no one was sleeping after the first crash of thunder. Outdoors is tres soggy.

Hugs!
