I don't know if this is going to work. I have been trying all day to create a blog post on my big Mac. Whether the problem is with my internet connection or my computer, I don't know. But my frustration level is out the roof. So I'm attempting to leave just a brief post using my iPad. This hasn't worked in the past, so we'll see.
My visit with the doctor yesterday didn't alleviate the pain, but it did ease my mind a bit. The stenosis is not as severe as Dr. N. had suspected. He thinks the disc degeneration is what's causing the pain. No discs to keep my vertebrae stable, they rub around and pinch nerves, and cause pain and inflammation.
I'm going to have an epidural for pain as soon as it can be scheduled. Dr. said if that doesn't help, we would do something else. He didn't elaborate, but I decided not to push it and get through one step at a time.
I'm just so thankful that, at least for now, back surgery is not in the picture. Thank you all for yoort good thoughts, notes of caring and encouragement, and prayers. I appreciate you more than I can say.
I have lots of quilt photos to show you, from last week's bee meeting and this week's guild meeting, whenever I get my computer/Internet issues worked out. Right now, I just hope I can get these words to post.

Susan, I'm glad that you got a better report than you feared. Yes, one step at a time will do it. The injections should help a lot.

No surgery! That is such good news. I am hopeful the injections will be all you need to see you through.

Thanks for the report. I am curious as to how long the epidurals last...and, yes, take it one day at a time or you will run out of underwear...

Good news, indeed! An answer to prayer. Now --if we can just get the technology to working. :-)

This is good news! Do you suppose you should be taking an anti-inflammatories to keep the inflammation to a minimum?
Wishing you good results from the epidural!
Hope you can slap your computer into cooperating with you. I'm looking forward to those eye candy photos from you and your talented guild's show and tell!
Hugs!

I'm SO glad! I HAVE been keeping up with you, but it's VERY hard to type. I'll post what's going on via my blog later tonight. Still, I want to let you know I LOVE you, Susan, and I hope you get better & better!
