I'd Rather Be Quilting

TAXES-CALCULATOR1-e1359039662632How I hate this task! Even though I have someone else prepare my actual tax return, I have to gather all the information and give it to her. And since retirement income, at least in my case, seems a lot more complicated than non-retirement income, I never know when I have the records complete to turn into her.

That's what I've been doing all morning, and I think, just maybe, I have everything documented.

I always put the chore off until the last minute because I hate doing it so much. Every year, I vow that I will get it all out of the way early in the year. But that never happens.

Thank you all for your well wishes on the possible upcoming surgery. I say "possible," because now my knee seems to be improving. Compared with the pain I was having for the past few weeks, it's a zillion times better. I can walk without limping. I can sleep lying down in my bed instead of sitting propped on pillows. There's still some swelling though, and that might be a problem.

I'm going to give the condition another couple of days and if it continues to improve I'm going to call and talk to my doctor about the possibility of at least postponing surgery until a later date. I just have so much on my proverbial plate right now. I'd rather not have one more thing, one more BIG thing, if I can avoid it.

Today I have to make a trip to the printer and to the fabric store. Then I hope to spend the rest of the afternoon peacefully sewing a bit.

I'm right there with you in hating this task each April. I agree that it was easier when just about all it took was transferring the numbers from the statement sent by employers in Jan. and any investment statement sent by brokers or banks. Sigh!

Cheers that your knee is feeling so much better!!!! May the improvement continue so you really don't need the surgery or at least don't need it yet. Even if your doctor is the sort that says "Let's take a look anyway" you can still say NO.

Have fun on those errands and I applaud your plan to end up at the fabric store.

Hugs!
