I just had to show everyone this beautiful quilt that our friend Barbara Ann made using the Nancy Drew fabric. Barbara doesn't have a blog herself, and I just feel that this beautiful quilt needs some exposure. Those patchwork blocks are beautiful, and the perfect fabric and colors to compliment the Nancy Drew book cover panels. Barbara plans to border her quilt, so perhaps she'll give us another peep once that is done.

Thanks for showing my Nancy Drew quilt and thanks to all who made such kind comments about it, too. The top and bottom center blocks are names "Girl's Favorite" and the Nancy Drew books were certainly my favorites when I was a child.
The four side blocks were chosen because they're easier to piece than the Girl's Favorite blocks. I thought the first one was problematic and had lumpy intersections so made a second block thinking it would go more smoothly. Not so and what a bummer that was. I was happy to find the Square in a Star tutorial on-line and I love those 4 side blocks made with that pattern.
I'll be happy to show the completed quilt when I've had time to put the borders on. Just now DH and I are going thru a bazillion books my FIL kept and on the 12th will move DS2 back from his apartment 3 hours away. He'll move in with sweet AMIL with the hopes his good company will cheer her back to good health following her draining 6 months as a caregiver for FIL. As my Grandma used to say, "do pray!" Thank you!
