Flexible Christmas

Bella & Quilts 2

Bella & Quilts
"Do you mind? I'm taking a bath here."

In light of the expected severe weather, Andy, Jesse, and I decided it would indeed to be wise to shelter in place on Christmas Day. So we aren't going out. Instead, we'll stay here, have chicken and dumplings, maybe watch a movie or work a puzzle. I have a new Christmas puzzle with cats I've been saving for the season.

Tomorrow night, Christmas Eve, the fam is coming (as I think I've said) and we're going to chow down on barbeque and brunswick stew and trimmings. The meat is already simmering in the crock pot for the stew.

Meanwhile, here's how winter is looking around about The Yellow House.

Good decision about staying home and safe! Will Andy spend Christmas Eve night at your house so it will be like a house party or will she need to get home to care for critters?

Love the photos of Bella and your Santa family quilt.

Interesting tree photos, too.

I'm still making up for time lost to the flu and really need an extra week before Christmas. Will you work with me on that? Perhaps I've waited too late to wish for more time ...

Think I'm too tired to sew but perhaps I can pin the last seam on the 2nd SC wall quilt and hand stitch the rest of the binding on SC#1.

Please keep DS1 and his sweetie in your prayers as they drive from north GA here on Christmas Eve evening. It's his 33rd birthday, too.

Wishing you and all a Merry Christmas!

Hugs!

Good idea. DH and I have decided to stay home, too, rather than be on the road to friends' house.

Your chicken and dumplings sound marvelous. I can't make them at all.

Merry Christmas!!
