Our children's bell choir kicked things off with an outstanding performance.

Watching Miss Stephanie turn the cards

Our choir is small, but they make a big sound.

The quilted Christmas banners that I made several years ago were in place.
After the performance, we adjourned to the Family Life Center across the street, where we found steaming pots of homemade chili and soups waiting for us. What a great Sunday.

Some of you asked the name of Viginia's quilt block. It's called Carpenter's Square, and if you follow the link, you'll find a pattern for it.
Some others asked about ordering my guild's cookbook. I don't know the exact publication date, but I do know that we're counting on having copies for sale at our quilt show in June. I will be sure to let everyone know when the book is available.
Thanks for all your comments.
Happy 12-12-12, everyone.

What glorious banners you created to grace your church for the holiday season!! Applause, applause!!
I'm glad you felt well enough to go to the beautiful Christmas program and the church family chili dinner thereafter. Thank you for giving us a glimpse.
Am feeling like I've been hit by a truck today but want to get to work full steam to finish those Shade Cascade wall hanging. Time is short.
Hugs!

The banners are really beautiful. Did you use patterns? If so, I would love to know more information. Our church could really use some new Christmas banners!

The banners are beautiful. I loved Virginia's quilt, I am so glad you shared where we could find the pattern. I've already printed the pattern and have put it on my 2013 quilt list.

Wow Susan, you did such a beautiful job on those banners. You should be very proud to see them hanging there every Christmas. Chili and soup sounds pretty good around here today. It's cold!!! Only in the 40's so tonight we're having a good ole hot bowl of oyster stew. Have a great day.
