Premier Week

Castle-season-premiere_320x240

I have watched so little tv this past summer, that I almost completely missed the season premiers of some of my favorite shows. I was cruising the internet Monday night when an item about "Castle" caught my eye. I looked at the clock and saw that I had already missed 10 minutes. OMG! Castle and Beckett could be dead by now and I wouldn't even know it! I rushed to the tv to find that I had left my DVR set to record last season and I hadn't missed anything at all.

In this new episode, the team goes rogue, Alexis gets a hangover, and Castle and Beckett finally (as one reviewer puts it) do the horizontal mambo. I don't know quite yet how I feel about this new relationship between them. I just hope it doesn't hurt the chemistry between the characters. It has been my observation that this kind of change in a show's main characters can kill it. We'll just have to see. They have decided to keep their relationship undercover, so to speak, so that should help.

Last night was the season premiers of two of the shows I like to watch. Again, I almost forgot. When you've been off tv for a couple of months, you find you can live without it. But again my DVR saved the beginning of the show for me and I missed nothing.

-criminal-minds--sea"Criminal Minds" came first. This is probably my very favorite current series, and one of my favorite series of all time. It was a good episode. The unsub was a man who had endured a horrible childhood that made him kill in search of silence.

I don't care much for the new girl. She seems a little arrogant and pushy. I hope they bring Emily back from London.

After "Criminal Minds," came "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Ted Danson is so good as D.B. Russell in this series. He came on last season as the main character after Marge Helgenberger (who was also good) left.

CSILast night, D.B.'s granddaughter has been kidnapped by some very nasty men, and D.B. and the team have eight hours to find her and get her back. Very emotional epsiode, and some really good acting.

Tomorrow night, I'll see the season premier of CSI NY, another favorite. Gary Sinise is just perfect as Mac Taylor, but there's really not a bad actor in the whole cast I love them all.

Oh my gosh, Criminal Minds scares the bejebus out of me. Like I have nightmares about unsubs! So I can't watch it. I really like the scientific part of it but those crimes are just too much for me. My favorite show came back on this week too. NCIS. Those characters feel like extended family now and it was so nice to catch up this week.

My favorite show is Criminal Minds and I almost missed the season primier last night. There are only a few shows that I follow these days and mostly because there seems to be a lack of quality writing going on these days and few plot lines that appeal to people over 40. It is easy to miss the 1st show of the season because every show has different start dates/months and other series air in the Spring. I will have to research my shows and have Google remind me with an email. A lot of people I know are like Missy and cannot bring themselves to watch the more realist crime shows, but I must be a deviant because it does not bother me a bit. On the other hand I can't stand "reality" shows so everybody has differnet taste.
Your Taco & Bella pictures are priceless. Are the dogs catching on to their presence yet? I can't wait for the 2 species to meet formally.

We like NCIS most, but also the others you mentioned (I have to be out of the room for the crime on Criminal Minds!) but have never even heard of Castle.

Last night we watched the new show Elementary and found it a bit frenetic but enjoyable. We'll watch it again.

You do much better than I do with the creepy, scary stuff on screen and in print. To each her own!!

Hugs!

Okay Susan, you have all my favorites there except "Person of Interest". Love NCIS. Not sure about "Elementary", I am such a Sherlock purist.

BTW, out west many of the mexican restaurants run a special called "Taco Tuesday". You may have to start one with him and Bella D'Ball.
