I didn't have to water flowers this morning. The outside thermometer tells me that temps are almost 30 degrees cooler than this time yesterday. AND IT'S RAINING! Life is good. But let me also send out condolences to all who are still suffering in the heat, especially those who are without air conditioning due to the horrible storms. I wish you could all come to The Yellow House and enjoy the rain and the air conditioning.
This might make you feel better. This is a quilt that I photographed at our last guild meeting. I'm afraid I have completely forgotten who pieced it. (Perhaps one of my blog-reading guild friends can tell me.) But I do remember that our friend from Crossville, Tennessee, Elayne V., quilted it. That woman is an absolute artist with the long arm. Since I'm a dog lover and a quilt lover, you know I'm just crazy about this quilt.
I have a lot to do this week, and I'm afraid I'm off to a slow start this morning. Andy came by early to visit. Friday was her last day at work, so she was here to print off her resume. She has now entered the world of job-seekers. If anyone knows of a good position in a medical office for a bright, hardworking lady with tons of experience, please let us know.
So now it's off to get busy with my agenda of projects.

Love the quilt and I can just imagine the jazzy doggy quilting I can't quite see. Applause, applause to the quiltmaker and the quilter!!
Oh! Please send cooler weather and rain. Both would be so welcome even tho we're among the fortunate who do have a/c and electricity.
Best wishes to Andy as she looks for another job. My dad always said it was easier to find a job if you had a job, but since so much in the world has changed, perhaps that has, too.
AMIL is doing well in rehab and FIL is glum and grumpy - as usual. DH and I are feeling quite rundown with all of the hither and thither and the emotional roller-coaster. The heat doesn't help either.
Hugs!

That quilt is DARLING! So fun & whimsical! And THREE HUGE CHEERS for cooling rain! We had ours Saturday & Sunday and it was REALLY appreciated after a week-plus of 100 degree heat! Oh, how I long for cool weather. But that's months away, and I will, at this point, settle for NO HURRICANES THIS SEASON! Best of luck to Andy on her job search! And YOU don't overdo, young lady. Dr. Kai SAYS so! Love you! Now, I'm off to work ...
