UFO Progress Report: Week 17

Thank goodness for Patti J., one of our blogless UFO busters. Patti sent me a good UFO Progress Report this week. Now I've made progress myself, continuing the big-stitch quilting on my "Mama in the Mirror" challenge quilt. But I've shown that quilt nineteen ways from sundown here, and I'm really out of ideas for photographing it until it's at least finished.

So here is Patti's progress:

PJ2
I love Patti's quilting on this baby quilt. Wish my machine quilting was that pretty. I also love her fabric collection, Lily and Will (by Moda, I believe). The two main characters in Ramey's book are Willie T. and Lily Claire. So this collection reminds me of them. This is a UFO that Patti is finishing up to welcome a new baby.

PJ1
Speaking of Welcome, Patti also got her wool Welcome wallhanging pin basted for quilting. This is so pretty, Patti. I can just see it hanging on the front door of The Yellow House. Teehee. Patti also took a couple of UFO quilts to the quilter. Congratulations, Patti, and a great week, UFO-wise

ArmHave you ever tried to photograph the back of your right arm, with nobody around to give aid? Well I did, and here's what I got. I discovered this huge bruise this morning. The thing is, it's already fading. I have no idea how or when I came by it. I'm notorious in my family for being clumsy. I hardly pay attention to my thumps and bumps anymore.

Gotta run. Skipper and I have an appointment with Dr. Rachel in just a bit. Skipper also has a boo boo on one of his appendages. His left hind leg has a sore place, which I've been doctoring and Skipper has been licking incessantly, but it just won't get well. So we're going to let Dr. R. work her magic. Skipper won't let me photograph it though.

Look below for Mr. Linky and link up to show us what you've been up to this week.

Applause, applause, Patty! Well done on the baby quilt (great quilting!) and on your wool Welcome piece, too!!

Susan, you must be like me in the bruising dept. I can nearly break a bone and have the littlest bruise to show for it, but let it be a bump I ignore as a non-issue and it looks like your poor arm - as if I've been beaten. Go figure!

Hope Dr. Rachel can work wonders on Skipper's boo-boo or at least protect it from his worrying with it.

I'm about to finish up my two quilted gifts so I can get back to my UFOs. The hiccup is that I'm getting into beaded embellishments and I hope I don't go past the limit of pretty and hit gaudy with the beads!

Hugs!

Oops! I misspelled Patti's name so apologies to her.

Susan, you need some of that Lily and Willie fabric and I mean right now!

More hugs!

Good work Patti! That Welcome wall hanging is very cute!

Susan I get mysterious bruises too. I'm usually just too busy to notice when I injure myself and then can't remember what I did days later when I find the bruise!

Good job Patti! Sorry to see your bruise. I do that too. My doctor is forever asking me where I got it. Skipper will just have to put the "cone of Shame" on. Roscoe had to have his on too as he had blown his knee. I have pulled out a quilt that I better be done with this weekend or I'm really going to be in trouble ---from Roscoe hahahaha Have a great weekend Susan and the rest of you too.

Your arm looks like it must have really hurt when you did it!! Poor Skipper! He's probably going to have to be a Conehead for awhile until his leg heals. That is no fun for anyone! Have a good week-end!

Hi Susan ~ I finally have a finished quilt! I couldn't post it for last Friday's linky because the recipient just received it Sunday evening when her family came for dinner, and I didn't want to spoil the surprise ahead of time. I actually took a break from UFOs to start and finish this quilt. Hopefully, now it's time to get back to quilts that have been hanging around waaaay to long!

Great job to Patti on her progress. Love the wonkiness and the quilting!

If possible, try liquid band-aid for dogs. It takes very bitter so they won't lick and it puts a cover over the area so it will heal. Jake had a tendency to lick his paw raw until he got involved with a few sessions of liquid band-aid. Now, he's reformed!

I heard that fibromyalgia does that to you, I tend to get a lot of bruises sometimes just by leaning hard on a surface, I just learnt this a few weeks ago. Hugs! Not so thighs ones my body feels like a word a 12 hour shift, tired, well you know.
