So last night, Andy came with two big sprinkled cupcakes and a DVD of the "My Week With Marilyn" movie that I've been wanting to see. I enjoyed the movie (and, indeed, the cupcake), but I was a litle disappointed. I don't think the woman who played Marilyn, Michelle Williams, did as good a job as might have been done by someone like, say, Charlize Theron. Nor were the other actors all that outstanding, with the exception of the young man, Eddie Redmayne, who played Colin, and the amazing Judi Dench, who played Dame Sybil Thorndike. They were both excellent--just like the cupcake.

What a happy looking cupcake! Love the polka-dot sprinkles.
Sounds like you and Andy had a wonderful time together. Too bad the movie was less than it might have been. I happened to see an interview with the actress who played Marilyn and even then I couldn't see how she could pull it off well. The movie clip that was shown at the time just verified my opinion - at least to me. ;)
Hope you have a lovely day!
Hugs!

You know, I wondered about that movie. Michelle Williams strikes me as a perfectly wonderful woman, but a bit on the quiet side. I wondered if she had enough "oomph" to play Marilyn Monroe. It will still be an interesting one to watch, love that Dame Judi Dench.
