After church yesterday, Ramey and I made a rather lackluster trek to our favorite thrift store. The place looked like some mad hoarding person had come through and cleared the shelves. There wasn't a lot of treasures to comb through. I did get this little Schnibbles pattern though, for a mere 35 cents. I have never made a Schnibble; I hope to make this my first one.
When I got back home, I finished watching the first season of "Downton Abbey." I have to confess that the series started out slowly for me and I wasn't sure I was going to become a fan. But I'm hooked now. I can't wait to get to into Season Two. The doings of those Granthams and their servants and relatives have captured me. I especially love Granny Grantham, Bates, Anna, and Mr. Carson.
Tomorrow night Ramey and I are getting together as usual at my house to watch the next episode of our very favorite tv series, "Justified." This time, we're going to do dinner too. I'm cooking a pork loin, baked beans, coleslaw, and cherry pie. Ramey is bringing the bread and vanilla ice cream. I think I'll invite Andy and Joanne to eat with us. Don't know if they'll want to stay and watch Raylan and the Harlan, Kentucky, bunch, but they might.
Sophie is bothering me to scratch her, and I'm finding dog-scratching and typing to not be compatible activities. So bye for now. Hope everyone is having a fine Monday.

Cheers for finding one small treasure that will most wonderfully fuel some future creative endeavors!
Wonder if many of the items that were missing were bought by someone having a yard sale and planning to ask a higher price for them?
Your menu for tomorrow night sounds wonderful and if I had the energy to start driving now, I could come, too! On the other hand, our freezer is closer and that's where we have some pork barbecue and the other ingredients are in the pantry. We just need slaw. Stellar menu idea!
I still haven't seen Downtown Abbey or Justified. What do I do with my time?
Do Sophie and Skipper seem to think that the weather will be different if they exit through a different door? Our cats seem to have that idea firmly fixed in their little heads and are so surprised and offended when the weather is the same no matter which door they use as their exit.
Hugs!

I made a Christmas Cindy Lou Who Schnibble with a Minick & Simpson line from a few years back. It's a fun pattern as are ALL of its Schnibble sisters! Do give it a try when you have the time and energy!

Oh that's one of my favorite Schnibbles, I super sized mine! Go check out Sinta/Pink Pincushion and Sherri/Quilting Life blogs for the October or November, 2009 Cindy Lou Who Parade! There were some great ones.
I LOVE Downton Abbey, I'm so sad Season Two is over but it ended happily.
