Fun With Lori

PS1
The ceramic heart was a recent thrift store find.

Loribelle and I put in a long day yesterday. First shopping at JoAnn's, where Lori signed up for another quilting class and bought supplies. I touched all the fabric but resisted buying any. I got a ClothPaperScissors magazine instead.

After lunch at Jim 'n' Nicks (I had a pig in the garden salad and Lori had a chicken in the garden), we returned to The Yellow House for a sewing session. We got the binding and sleeve made for Lori new grandbaby quilt--and I forgot to take a picture of it. But take my word, it's awesomely cute.

I was pretty much pooped after all the shopping and eating and sewing, so I didn't do much last evening. Sophie slept on the bed with me and Skipper last night. That's the first time she has slept on the bed in years and years.

I have to go now and get ready for church. I've missed the last couple of Sundays because of family gatherings. I feel the need for some hymn singing this morning.

But I'll close with a view of my doll house that FedEx delivered on Friday. It turned out to be quite a bit smaller than I had expected, and so I won't be able to use most of the things I've found at thrift stores, etc., for it. But I love the size. It fits perfectly on the antique Singer in the foyer. And it will be fun finding teeny tiny little accessories for it.

PS2
Happy Sunday to all from The Yellow House.

Those doggies are alot of company for you. Like children for sure.

Your thrift store finds are just charming and will work perfectly for so many seasonal touches!

You and Lori certainly hit the high spots and got a lot done yesterday. Hope Lori will send you a photo of the quilt you and she worked on. Congratulations to Lori on finishing her first quilt, too!

What a sweet little doll house! Does the interior already have wallpaper or do you start from scratch choosing paint colors or a little bitty print wallpaper. Wonder if some scrapbook papers would work as wallpaper? I know Joanne will have experienced answers for any question you have. Enjoy!

Hugs!
