A Banner Day

These are banner pennants that I made yesterday for a Cloth Paper Studio swap. I send four and get four back. I'll be mailing these and the little sewing kit tomorrow. They are cut from fabric with peltex sandwiched between front and back layers and silk leaves machine quilted onto the fronts.

The group was inspired to hold this swap from a Halloween banner I made a couple of years ago (or maybe more) for another swap I was in. A photo of that banner appears below.

Today, my plan is to work on block kits for the next guild Block of the Month. Can't tell you what it is, of course, until guild members see. But I can show you last month's block. Click on the link below to see a cute pinwheel block that employs a fast and fun way to make the half-square triangles.

Love the banners, front and back, old and new!! Well done!! How cool that your banner from years past inspired a new swap, too!

How do you finish the edges of the banner triangles?

Off to look at the Autumn Pinwheel link.

Hugs!
