I have lots to do today. I just realized that Monday is guild meeting day. I'm scheduled to take part in the program and I'm not prepared. I also have two quilts I want to take for show & tell that need finishing touches. So I better get hopping.
But first, let me wish everyone a Happy Pink Saturday. If you're a fan of pink, be sure to visit Beverly's Pink Saturday Blog Party. I plan to go over for a quick visit before I start working.
But first a question: Does one ever stop having hot flashes. I'm sitting here with my shirt pulled up to my chin and my pants legs rolled above the knees, sweating and panting.

Beautiful quilts!
Happy Pink Saturday to you as well.
I cannot answer the hot flash question. I went through the change in one sweep an have never had to look back.
Blessings

What lovely quilts and I like how you've displayed them too.
As to the hot flashes, I just don't know! I'll be 60 in November and I still have them! :) YUCK!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hot flashes? 12 years and counting ::sigh:: They're a lot less frequent, though; I keep hoping they'll just peter out one of these years.

Lovely and charming pink quilts!!
No more hot flashes (aka, power surges!) but since being diagnosed with lupus in 1999, feel the outdoor heat much more intensely and it takes ages for me to cool off. Bother!
I hear you about the shirt up to your chin and pants rolled to your knees. May I recommend a glass of ice water or iced tea and a cold washcloth on the back of your neck? That's what helps me. Of course, meandering thru a water sprinkler would work, too.
Happy PINKday!
Hugs!

About the H.F.s - I've had them for about a third of my lifetime so far, but they get farther apart. Best treatment I found was Coca Cola with lots of ice, and a fan blowing directly on the face.

Barbara, we definitely could be sisters! At least LUPUS sisters! LOL! I always smile when I read your comments because I relate so strongly to you! My Comanche name SHOULD have been Fan in her Face! LOL! Hugs to you from Kai!

WOW! Are those EVER gorgeous quilts! And I don't have hot flashes anymore, but - like Barbara - heat is NOT my friend since Lupus invaded me. So I GET the shirt & pants shoved up! FOR SURE! I hope you cool down & feel WAY better! And I'm sending you a coooooool hug! LOVE YOU!!!!

My HF's were intense for a few years and then there were long lapses between HF's until finally they seldom happen at all.
If you are at home, why not open the freezer door of your fridge and enjoy the coolness that it will bring you.

Congratulations on the weight loss !!! My DH and I have wondered how well the Nutrisystem actually works, so I'll follow your progress for a while. But congrats, I'm so glad for you.
No I don't think hot flashes ever really stop. But I think the hot flashes have something to do with the fibro...
Gorgeous quilts, I particularly like the "sampler" one...

Fortunately I was blessed and never had a hot flash. I have friends that suffered a lot. Some said they got so hot their bed cloths had to be changed. I know you think I am really crazy now, but I always looked forward to having them. I am a very cold nature person.

I can relate to those hot flashes - every time I think that they have stopped they come back with a vengeance - I guess we just have to learn to accept them.
Lovely quilts and I would also like to know where you got the quilt "ladder".

Love those quilts and the rack they are on! I have found that if I stay away from caffeine then I don't have hot flashes anymore.

Happy Pink Saturday, Susan.
I never had much of a problem with hot flashes, and what I do have are during the night.
